Interview with Author Acamea Deadwiler

First, what is Life, Love and the Pursuit Of about?

It’s about exactly what the title suggests. Our universal struggles, desires, and state of being. It’s about Life, and love, and what we endure when navigating the two.

What inspired you to write this book?

I would basically write short stories about situations I encountered, and the lessons that I learned along the way. Eventually I had enough to put together and develop an entire book. I was just inspired by the desire to share, and possibly help someone along his or her journey.

What’s your favorite chapter?

That’s a good question….My favorite chapter is probably “When Silence isn’t Golden.” Because it touches on both the old me, and this current more evolved version. It also offers what I feel is the most important lesson of all, which is to speak your truth and release your pain in the most healthy manner possible.

The cover is beautiful. How did the concept come about?

The broken/mended heart was actually sourced from a tattoo that I have. I literally sent the designer a picture of it on my shoulder, and they brought it to life. I like that extra, personal touch.

What can readers expect to get from your book?

My hope would be that readers get a renewed sense of optimism from Life, Love and the Pursuit Of. I hope that when they are done they feel encouraged and empowered. I hope that they feel as though they are not alone.
